Brand name: Sibicura
Registered office: Winterthur, Switzerland
Email: info@sibicura.com
2. Scope
This privacy policy explains the nature, extent and purpose of the processing of personal data on www.sibicura.com. It applies to all data collected through this website.
3. Legal basis
Data is processed on the basis of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
4. Data we collect
We collect and process the following personal data:
- Order data: name, address, email address, phone number (if provided), products ordered, order history
- Payment data: payment method and transaction data (card details are not stored by us; they are processed directly by the payment provider)
- Communication data: the contents of emails and contact enquiries
- Newsletter data: email address and time of sign-up when you subscribe
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, time of access, pages viewed
5. Purpose of processing
We use your data only for the following purposes: processing orders and payments, shipping and delivery, customer communication and support, sending our newsletter (only with your consent), improving our range and our website, and meeting legal obligations such as accounting and tax law.
6. Hosting and platform
Our online shop runs on Shopify Inc. (Canada). Shopify processes data on our behalf and stores it on servers in Canada and the United States. Shopify is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Further information is available in Shopify's privacy policy.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device. Some are technically necessary for the shop to work, such as the cart and login. Others serve analytics and marketing.
You can restrict or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. This may affect how the website works.
8. Analytics and marketing
Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): We use the Meta Pixel to measure how our ads perform on Facebook and Instagram. Pseudonymised usage data is transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Meta may link this data to your Facebook or Instagram account. Further information is available in Meta's privacy policy.
You can limit collection by the Meta Pixel through the ad settings of your Facebook account.
Klaviyo (newsletter and email marketing): We use Klaviyo, a service of Klaviyo, Inc. (USA), for our newsletter. When you sign up, your email address, the time of sign-up and — if you order from us — your purchase behaviour are transmitted to Klaviyo and stored there. Klaviyo is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Sign-up happens only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Further information is available in Klaviyo's privacy policy.
9. Payment providers
For payment processing we use the methods provided by Shopify, such as credit card, Twint and PayPal. Your payment data is processed directly by the respective provider and is not stored on our systems.
10. Disclosure to third parties
We pass personal data to third parties only where this is necessary to fulfil the contract — shipping providers, payment providers, email providers — or where there is a legal obligation. We do not pass data to third parties for advertising purposes.
11. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Data transmitted through our website is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
12. Retention
We store personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose, or for as long as legal retention obligations require — for example ten years for accounting records under the Swiss Code of Obligations.
13. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. You may also object to processing or request that it be restricted. For any such request, please write to info@sibicura.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
14. Changes
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. The current version is available on this page.
